Summary
He flushes the toilet from his spot on the ground and leans his back against the bathtub. He wiped his face with his hands, only smearing everything together more. Slumping down onto the bathroom floor, Shane starts to cry again. He bangs his head against the tile a few times, feeling completely stupid.
But the dark part of his mind corrects the thought. It wasn’t stupid if it felt good and worked.
The realization is a dangerous thought. He did feel better. Very marginally. But better. The guilt and disgust were eating away at him, but he couldn’t shut down the fact that he felt better empty. After the crying stopped, he almost felt calm. Knowing that he could fuck up and fix it in less than an hour. Way less time than if he exercised it off like normal. Worst of all, the only part he really felt bad about was eating the junk in the first place. He couldn’t make himself angry about throwing up. Being empty was too simple a feeling to ever be angry about.

A long pause, then a laugh. “Wheeler? To what do I owe this late-night honor?”
“I, um.” Nancy’s tongue feels stuck to the inside of her mouth, like bare skin on upholstery. “I was wondering if you’ve got a couch I can crash on?”
Nancy finds herself in Olympia, Washington on the eve of the Riot Grrrl movement.
