The end of his longest-running relationship coincided with his appointment to executive editor of a new romance-focused New Adult imprint announced by their publisher. It was not the blindsiding that Obi-Wan had expected it to be; much like the new imprint, he'd seen the very clear road-map signs of the end of his and Satine's six-year relationship long before the future came. It's quite ironic, really, to place a forty-plus-year-old man in charge of an imprint focused on romance given how poorly his own personal life fared with it.
But, at least he has Anakin to help him.
Obi-Wan Kenobi has made an entire career out of editing romance novels, so he knows a thing or two about love stories—but not when it comes to his own. Not when it’s right in front of his face.
