“Fuck you,” Augustin says weakly.
Paddy can feel his thighs start to tremble. With a devilish prod of his fingers, voice low and slow and syrupy, he asks, “What do you want, dear faery?”
Augustin is quiet for a moment, during which Paddy can only imagine he is, as the French are wont, assembling the strength to surrender.
Or, Paddy and Augustin have sex in one of the trucks in the middle of the night. For Paddy, it feels a bit like a revelation.

She had cornered him and Paddy one smokey evening, where they were sitting in a back corner of the Empire Club in Cairo, their collars loose around their necks and a healthy dose of drink in their hands. Augustin remembers, with almost painful sharpness, the precise way Paddy’s knee had been pressed against the side of his own, hidden underneath the table.

Summary
There’s been a man. Augustin keeps seeing him at the edges of his vision, just around corners, sitting in the gloomy areas of rooms, blurring the background of mirrors.
He is tall, with a laughing sort of face, a wide stretch of a mouth, and brown hair that carefully curls over one side of his head. He never talks, but he meets Augustin’s eyes over the mess when Reg does something outrageous, gives him a grin. He rolls his eyes behind Stirling’s back at roll-call, and makes Augustin tuck a smile against his chin so no one can see.
He is always, always standing next to Paddy.

Ian stopped sleeping so much, stopped eating so much, he went on dates and didn't ever text the girls back, he was considering getting back together with Pam and then biting hard into the meat of his own arm as he told her no, it won’t work, Ian was different now, he’s got too much going on. Anthony wasn't looking at him and Ian wondered if it was because he was so full of bad things that Anthony can tell, and Ian was vomiting in the bathrooms at work and washing his mouth out with soap whenever he thinks about Dave, which was often, because he had seeped into all things. He was water damage in Ian’s brain. He was the fluid caught in Ian’s ears.

“Actually, he’s got you all fooled,” Paddy says. For a moment, he moves like he is going to pat Augustin on the shoulder, but changes his mind mid-way, instead going wider and slamming it down on the table. Augustin’s skin tingles regardless. “Augustin looks all serious and respectable, what with all of his Sorbonne-trained snobbishness, but he is, at heart, also a bastard.”
Augustin laughs. “That is the closest you’ve ever gotten to complimenting me, Paddy.”***

“Go home,” Jack says again.
Ianto blinks again at the floor, at the stains beneath his fingers that he knows will never come out, that have soaked in too deeply.

Set after Something Borrowed, but not particularly "AU" (at least, at time of writing) it slots into season 2.

When he turned to look at Steve there was laughter in his eyes and a touch of heat in his smile.
Dating a civilian was always risky. Luckily, Bucky seemed like a nice, genuine guy and Steve knew he could gently reject him with the smallest shrug and that Bucky would accept his decision easily. It was the smart thing to do.

Summary
While on a mission storming a HYDRA facility, James Buchanan Barnes touches one of the many strange alien devices collected by the Red Skull. He does this, in fact, twice— in the past, and in the future.
Next thing he knows, Bucky Barnes is opening his eyes in the 21st century, which is full of great gadgets and coffee, and at least includes his old pal Steve. (And, inexplicably, a different Stark.) Meanwhile, the Winter Soldier finds himself in the middle of World War Two, helping Captain America hunt down HYDRA (which is at least familiar), pretending to be Bucky Barnes (which is not), and figuring out the very noisy group of soldiers who call themselves the Howling Commandos.

“Bucky?” Steve calls softly, and Bucky halts, going preternaturally still.
Steve finds himself thrown back to that day on the bridge, staring at the assailant who’d worn his best friend’s face, a flame of hope fluttering in his chest.
It’s with similar feeling that he watches Bucky slowly raise his eyes to meet Steve’s, and a similar agony pierces through him as Bucky stares at Steve with the same blank eyes of the Soldier.
“Steve,” Bucky says, after a too-long pause, brow ever-so-slightly furrowed.
His gaze goes to Sam as if he’s seeking reassurance. As if he needs confirmation that what he’s seeing is real. Only after Sam has offered a subtle nod does he look back at Steve, face pale as milk, and very empty.
“How— Why are you… here?”

Steve's epic stupidity and bad decision-making have unintended consequences.

He considers the ancient world - a whole wing of plaster cast replicas, tiny cities in miniature, staggering Greek gods in shining white.
