Summary
People in Sumeru don't dream , but one night, he did. It was of an exceedingly handsome man, in some frivolous setting he can't possibly remember so he chalks it up to something he's read or consumed somewhere.
And so, what does Kaveh do? At 3 in the morning, struck by the image of a stranger, They were dancing, flowers grew around them, his hands on his, the equally frivolous-as-the-setting endeavour the grey haired man indulged him in. Moving awkward and stiff yet somehow charming, sword at his side , biceps, chest.... and those eyes. Those striking eyes of green surrounding a sharp brown pupil the shape of a diamond.
What is Kaveh to do? Having never seen anyone—anything like him.
Kaveh is an architect, an artist renowned for making Lord Sangemah Bay's grand estate. What is an artist to do when struck with such inspiration?
Well... an artist makes.

Summary
Before she realizes what she’s doing, Haitham walks to her door and opens it. She can’t see Kaveh, but she can hear rustling from the other bedroom. “Was tonight a date?” She asks loud enough for her voice to carry across the apartment.
The rustling stops. Haitham hears a soft, frustrated groan. It’s the reaction she gets when she’s said something brutal but accurate; she knows it well. “Haitham…” Kaveh whines weakly.
“I’ll be ready in ten.”
Kaveh obliquely asks out Haitham, and misunderstandings follow. They are forced to have a conversation (and a little argument) about their feelings.

What looks like a straight path to Alhaitham is to Kaveh a dreadful rotation.
Kaveh is trapped in an enclosed space with a strange creature who seems to know all the same words as him, yet with whom he cannot communicate. He has placed his life in the hands of this being and now sits in a frantic stillness, attempting to rationalize ex-post a decision that he is already committed to seeing through.
He reaches out in an attempt to break the silence. His hand is promptly smacked away from its destination.
“I don’t feel like listening to anything right now,” Alhaitham says.
Weakly, Kaveh replies, “It’s not normal to drive for so long in complete silence.”
“It’s not silent to me,” Alhaitham says. “I’m thinking.”

Facts Kaveh learned at age thirteen about the long-dead Grand Sage Al-Haitham for a school project:
He was raised by his grandmother. He was rude and antisocial, often described as a lunatic. He didn’t like animals. He was the victim of an unsuccessful assassination attempt after stepping down as grand sage, a position he did not want in the first place. After his grandmother died, he never married and lived with a man until he presumably died peacefully of old age. Thirteen year old Kaveh held that last fact very close to his aching chest, but he didn’t include it in his report.
Kaveh meets a man with grey hair that he definitely doesn't recognize, probably. A reincarnation AU.

The other man completes sketch after sketch, traces racing raindrops with his fingertips, mutters to himself as he flips through notebooks. Leaves turn to fire then die in the fading sunset, until their evening rides are taken in darkness. Day in, day out, the comfort of their cyclical monotony perpetuates.
Until one blustery morning.

Alhaitham's days are easy rituals. He doesn't realize, until one occurs, that he's desperately needed the disruption.

Summary
I'm no stranger to sappy dialogues, I've encountered romance in the midst of studying foreign literature, in which such lines made an impression enough to be remembered. Though I am yet to feel it myself; the fleeting and the falling, the ascension and descenscion, the longing and desperation, the uncontrollable surge of concocting feelings they say you experience in the midst of love. I wasn't certain if I fit in this discipline at all, being a linguistic connoisseur made me a curious man. While I could speak th many languages existing in different regions of the world, love is a language I find most difficult to understand. It comes in many forms and tones, sometimes even the lack thereof is one way of proclaiming what ironically cannot be spoken.

This conversation wasn’t going anywhere and time was ticking. The sky was almost pitch-black outside; Kaveh was running out of options. Maybe a little ass-kissing wouldn’t hurt. He had done plenty of that in his life anyways. It was practically a requirement for his career.
“Ok listen, I’m sorry. Now will you please help me?”
The other man simply smirked. “So first you run away with my belongings and now you demand my help? That’s rather presumptuous of you.”
He was joking. He was clearly just teasing. Very unexpected and quite humorous coming from such a serious-looking guy, but that fact did not stop rage from building inside Kaveh.

Or: Kaveh accidentally falls asleep on the train and misses his stop. Now he has to rely on a mysterious, and rather rude stranger to figure out how to get home. Unfortunately, he left his bag on the train, along with his keys, his wallet, his phone, everything! That doesn't leave him with a lot of options... Mehrak is definitely not getting dinner tonight.
