They tell Danyal that he was born still and dead.
His mother then lowered his stiff body into the Lazarus pits, where he had sunken down to the bottom and remained there for three days and three nights. When he finally rose to the surface and let out his first cry, they say that he still looked like a dead thing floating on top of the water. His hair had bleached white and his eyes shone green.
OR
A character study in three parts. Danyal, growing up in the League, learning trust and compassion after leaving it behind, and then meeting his younger brother much later, only to see everything he has worked so hard to let go of reflected in the face of a child.

“Hey, that was pretty fast,” he says brightly. “I’d love to see how fast you can go when you aren’t taking detours to lose a tail first.”

You’d think he would get better at it with experience. That he would’ve been able to stay calm, think rationally. Instead, the panic sets in before he even opens his eyes. He smells the wet earth and he knows. Some part of him has always been waiting to end up here again.

"Yes, and thank the gods you did. I was starting to think that nobody would say anything. It isn't your fault he didn't listen to you." He looks down at his hands, idly picking at some dirt stuck under the edge of a fingernail.

Space rock crunched under Peter’s armor-clad feet and he dropped his hand from his eyes, turning to Tony. "Mister Stark," he said softly. "What do we do now?”
The question was entirely reasonable, Tony supposed, but being the one expected to answer it was like an infinity gauntlet punch to the gut. (Now there was a unit of measurement he could submit to the CGPM.)
Or: In a billion-to-one cosmic fluke, Tony and Peter both survive the snap and are left alone on Titan with an alien spaceship and no plan in sight. Peter’s presence brings Tony to make a tough call: diverting their course away from Earth in search of food and fuel. With the galaxy in shambles and no clear route home, the two survivors must carve out a path of their own somewhere in the great infinity.
