Summary
Catra really, really didn’t think her moving day was going to end with her stuck in an elevator, during a blackout, with an absolute stranger whose face she’d never seen.
She definitely couldn’t have predicted she’d ever get hit on by that stranger, either.
And the last thing she could’ve ever imagined herself doing was consider saying yes…

Summary
Adora’s walking down the aisle, her arm hooked through her father’s, her white dress flowing behind her. She feels her heart racing, excitement dashing across her nerves; everyone is looking at them. She glances through the crowd, a soft smile on her face as she greets all the faces of their loved ones.
Just as she is about to turn back towards the altar, where her fiance stands looking handsome and kind as ever, she sees a flash of gold and blue. A woman she’s never seen before, is making her way towards the back of the cathedral, her striking heterochromatic gaze catching Adora’s. Her freckles pop out against her bronze skin, and crinkles form near her honey amber and ocean blue eyes as she returns the soft smile Adora had been giving everyone.
The woman keeps moving, as does Adora, as she feels something so wholly unfamiliar course through her body. All she knows in this moment is that that was the most beautiful woman she has ever seen, and all she wants is a chance to say hello.

Summary
Once past the threshold, she immediately turns to her left to make her way to the counter. As she begins to do just that, she spots someone with ruffled, short, brown hair. They’re hunched over the counter so closely, they are practically kissing the notebook they’re writing in. The person must have heard Adora come in, but makes no move to look up. As she reaches the counter, it seems that only her close proximity seems to stir the person from their intense focus. As they extricate themselves from the notebook below—they seem to have been writing down responses to questions listed on a paper sitting next to it—they look up to meet eyes with Adora.
In that moment, as their eyes meet, Adora makes an immediate, and definitive decision: she has to work here.
She doesn’t care if they make their employees clean the floors by licking them, or pay them in monopoly money; she has to work here. Because the most striking blue and gold eyes just met hers and Adora is certain she’s forgotten how to breathe.

Summary
Adora and Catra grew up as child stars in the public eye, best friends in real life and on screen, until the fight that tore them apart.
By all appearances, they move on, living parallel lives that rarely cross.
Until, that is, they’re cast as the leads in a film that forces them together for the first time in years.
