A gentle hand ran through his golden locks, causing the child to look up at a pair of mischievous golden-colored eyes. They weren't the cool blue that his mother possessed yet they looked at him with the same warmth and love as hers. The woman's hand cupped one of his cheeks before her melodic voice spoke to him, a smile tugging at her lips.
"Would you like to see the circus with me, little songbird?"

Tommy finds himself in Lady Death's grace and gets adopted into a circus full of freaks... Guess home isn't always a house with a white picket fence.
