The demon giggled--Namjoon wished he could have said that it was an uncomfortable sound, but it sounded very much like a squeakier rendition of a chime of bells, pleasant and intriguing to hear. “I never said that you would be eaten, holy one. What about eating me? I bet your fables don’t teach you anything about feeding demons.” One of those cold hands, reached over to him, crooked fingers tracing along his thigh.

As far as he knows, Jeongguk arrived to Namjoon’s doorstep and has only left it on two occasions - for a doctor’s visit and a trip to the courthouse to get his birth certificate and social security. Even his cooperation with police has been done from the comfort of Namjoon’s living room.
Jeongguk is an owner of some things now, an email, and a pay-as-you-go phone that Hoseok brought him that he claimed was an old one of his. Jeongguk doesn’t care much about these things yet, but it’s all part of Namjoon’s plan to get him on his feet and out into the world.
He just hasn’t seen much of the world outside this door.
