Summary
It's 23rd May 1988 when Erik Xavier-Lehnsherr has his first training with the newest student at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. She has trouble controlling her power – ability to open interdimensional portals – but he's sure that they can improve it.
It's 9th July 1985 when Charles Xavier sees someone fall from a portal on the training grounds of his school.
While Charles Xavier-Lehnsherr does everything in his power to bring his husband back home from another reality, Erik has hard time understanding what the fuck has this other version of him been doing to end up being this Charles' "friend". He would love to comprehend why this Erik didn't apologize in 1973, instead fucking off to Poland and then trying to destroy the world, apparently (WHY WOULD HE). And since he's not able to come home on his own, he tries to help Erik and Charles from this world get their shit together. There's only one problem: everyone here seems to be way more dense than he can take. (He fights the urge to hit his other version every time he sees him. He might have failed to stop himself from doing it at some point)

“Forget that- I want to know what the hell happened between the Professor and this Erik guy!” Anna Marie stared at Erik’s back thoughtfully. “Also how did they get married anyway? Thought gay marriage is still illegal.”
“Maybe not in Germany?” Scott offered, not sounding like he really believed it either.
“You could always just ask him,” Remy offered. Silence.
“Either way I know the Professor still loves him deeply,” Jean offered to the collective interest of the gossiping friend group. “And I think that Erik becomes Magneto in the future and that’s why the Professor was so desperate for us to get here before they arrested him. Because he wants him back.”

Founder of the Students With Disabilities Club, he’s created a bit of a name for himself at the school, nurturing an environment that encourages learning and acceptance.
Erik Lehnsherr has thirty-six years under his belt, yet not a single one has been spent teaching, despite his Industrial Arts degree. Yet he accepted a teaching position, in the United States, of all places. Desperation for a new life would lead many to do rather rash things. After many months and piles of documents and certifications, he’s now a shop teacher at Westchester High School, and his first year is just around the corner.
It’s a week before the first day of school when Erik meets Charles, and he’s put off by the optimistic man, yet curious to learn more about him. Charles, ever the kind soul, is eager to bring a new teacher under his wing, but his reasons are far from selfless, enraptured by the handsome, mysterious man with an even more mysterious history.
