Jisung blinks at him, glassy-eyed and a tiny bit miserable. He doesn’t even pretend to deny it this time. He lifts his head with the devastated honesty only the heartbroken and intoxicated can manage.
“Yes,” he admits simply. “I’m crying. Because I’m drunk.”
“Oh.” Minho blinks, then lets out a startled laugh. “Oh, no.”

Minho’s eyes widen a bit, and he blinks. Once, twice, three times. His gaze flickers to the chair Jisung is sitting on, and he can’t help but snicker under his breath despite his rapidly growing embarrassment.
“No, hyung. I mean—” He has to clear his throat. “I mean, I can’t get off. Like, sexually. I can’t come.”
Silence. Minho’s blinking some more, mouth opening slightly, but no words come out. Jisung knows he is blushing; his cheeks feel warm, and now he can’t stop himself from continuing. “With you.”
Something inexplicable runs across Minho’s face, and Jisung shuts his eyes before uttering the last words. “In the apartment. I can’t get off with you in the apartment.”
or: Minho and Jisung move in together, and Jisung can't jerk off with Minho in the apartment. Minho lends him a helping hand (or two).

“Go on a date with me,” Minho says, gaze unwavering.
“Why?” Jisung asks, probably sounding like an idiot.
“So I can show you how you deserve to be treated on a date,” Minho says, frowning now. “And spoil you, like you want. So you won’t settle for less than this ever again.”
Oh.
Oh, okay. A date. As friends.
Jisung can do that.
After yet another failed relationship, Jisung swears off dating for good. But Minho, his best friend and the guy he’s not in love with, won’t let him give up on love that easily.

Minho likes to think he’s mastered the art of nonchalance, but sometimes Jisung knows exactly how to veer him off track, knows what to say to surprise him.
Minho sputters, swerving. “Jesus—“
Another beat or three of silence. "Hyung?” Jisung squeaks. Minho hums again. “You— uh— you never answered my question.”
“Why? Why are you asking me that?” Minho’s lip catches between his teeth.
He sees Jisung shrug from his periphery, a small lift of his shoulders. “I dunno. Curious, I guess.”
Minho swallows around the lump in his throat. “Have . . . have you?”
“I asked you first.” Jisung’s reply is almost instant, his eyes back on Minho.
“No, I haven’t.” The answer feels like he’s coughing up water from his lungs, a sudden breath of fresh air.
There’s a brief pause between them as Minho presses the gas when the light turns green before Jisung mutters, “Neither have I.”
(OR minho is in love with jisung and will do anything to make him happy. even if that means retaking his virginty in the front seat of the car in the middle of the night.)

Minho says, “Why were you buying ice cream?”
Objectively, it’s a strange question to ask. It has nothing to do with anything. It’s only a throwaway detail, to anyone else. They could have been out buying fried chicken, or band-aids, or fucking fish food, and it wouldn’t have changed anything.
But they weren’t. They were buying ice cream. And Jisung knows why Minho asks, because Jisung isn’t anyone else.
He tightens his grip around Felix’s waist. Minho’s eyes stay on his face, but Jisung knows he catches the action. Peripheral vision, or something. He swipes a tongue over his bottom lip, dry, and Minho follows that one. His gaze is so heavy on him that it makes Jisung forget all his lines. All his stories, all his rehearsed feelings. There’s only one line he knows, and it’s only because his heart memorized it for him.
Why? Minho asks.
“For you,” Jisung answers.
(P158 - Jisung agrees to fake date Felix to get Seungmin to stop setting him up with random guys. Even though they end up committing to the bit in a super cringey, over the top, painfully obviously in how fake it is way, Minho gets ridiculously jealous anyway and has to come to terms with why that is.)
