The end of his longest-running relationship coincided with his appointment to executive editor of a new romance-focused New Adult imprint announced by their publisher. It was not the blindsiding that Obi-Wan had expected it to be; much like the new imprint, he'd seen the very clear road-map signs of the end of his and Satine's six-year relationship long before the future came. It's quite ironic, really, to place a forty-plus-year-old man in charge of an imprint focused on romance given how poorly his own personal life fared with it.
But, at least he has Anakin to help him.
Obi-Wan Kenobi has made an entire career out of editing romance novels, so he knows a thing or two about love stories—but not when it comes to his own. Not when it’s right in front of his face.

Anakin, in a fit of bravery uncharacteristic even for the Hero With No Fear, decides that he should tell the Council about his secret marriage, so that no Sith could ever use it against him to hurt the Jedi Order or the Republic.
It goes swimmingly--if you ignore the fact that Anakin definitely meant to say that he married Padmé in the wake of Geonosis, and yet the entire Jedi Council seems to think he married Obi-Wan.
And also if you ignore the fact that now no one believes them when they tell them flat out that Anakin is married to and in love with Padmé, not his old master.
And also if you also ignore the fact that Anakin doesn't know how to ignore the fact that being in love with Obi-Wan sort of makes a lot of sense. In fact, it feels like the only thing that's made sense in the last four years, come to think of it.

Summary
Darth Vader wasn’t at all surprised by the existence of a hidden Sith library. The Jedi would have you believe that the Sith philosophy was chaotic and inferior to the enlightened, civilised, way of the Light.
Vader found their perspective to be pathetically short-sighted. In truth, the Dark Side was shaped and refined by some of the most powerful, cunning, and visionary Force users: brilliant strategists like Palpatine. Of course they had a library.
On the other hand, the fact that Obi-Wan Kenobi was hiding on Tatooine raising Anakin Skywalker’s son in secret – that did surprise Vader.

Surprisingly, the ritual backfires, killing Palpatine and stripping Anakin of his Force abilities. Stranded on Exegol, he lies to the Jedi Council about his Fall, beginning an unlikely exchange of letters with Obi-Wan.
