Again, there’s that venom that splashes the bystanders as well, cutting straight to bone and Sapnap’s bleeding, wounded and vulnerable from words George knows applies to both of them. And yet here he is, here they both are, acting like he doesn’t exist while he sits not three feet away from them.
“I’m fucking sorry?”
“Oh I’m sure you are Dream, you know-”
“Fuck you, George, I don’t have to deal with this!”
Dream and George won't stop fighting, and Sapnap gets stuck in the middle.

Summary
He sits Sapnap down on the edge of the bathtub, thankful for the wider edge making it a more comfortable experience as he runs the taps and waits for the hot water to start flowing through. It does eventually; steam starts to creep up into the air and the room begins to heat around them as the bath slowly fills. Dream keeps close, makes sure at least one part of him is always touching Sapnap in some way, reminding him of his presence.
It’s a good sign when Sapnap reaches for the bubble bath himself, pops the cap off and starts pouring it into the tub—he hasn’t retreated too far into himself yet to act on his own wants and needs. It reassures Dream that they’re on the right path.
Or Dream gives Sapnap some well-deserved aftercare.

George glances up and offers a friendly smile. “Hello Dream.”
The same time Dream stiffens, Sapnap raises an eyebrow.
“Oh, uh, hey—hi, uh, George Davidson. Hello. Haha, uh, yeah. Cool. You—I mean—never mind. Hi.”
“Nice save,” Karl mouths sarcastically and Dream wishes he had missed it out of the corner of his eye. He’s rightfully elbowed in the side by the blond as divine punishment (or something like that).
Or, Dream is head over heels for the smartest kid in his grade and his friends are tired of hearing about it. So, with a little inside help, they give him a much-needed push in the right direction.
