Summary
A post 5x12 fic picking up right where the episode left off.
"You kept it," he said breathlessly, his hand now skimming over her ribs, his gaze full of wonder as he stared at her. It took Lucy a second to realize what he was talking about; it had been so long since she'd even thought about it.
Smiling softly at him, Lucy reached down, tangling her fingers with his.
"Someone very important to me once told me it was proof I was a survivor; it was something to be proud of." She shrugged, squeezing his hand in hers. "I liked the sound of that, so I decided to keep it for a while. And you know what, it turns out he was right."
Tim continued to stare at her, an unreadable expression crossing his features before he surged forward, his hand cradling her face.

Summary
“Oh, Tim,” she whispers, and it’s the softness of her voice, the care and concern dripping from her words, that causes him to break down.
How can she still care about him after everything he’s done?
“He…” he tries, but his words are drowned out by the sobs that are rising unbidden from his chest. He can’t speak around them, can’t breathe around them. He balls his hands into fists against Lucy’s back and tries to suck a breath in but all he manages is to release another gut-wrenching sob. “My friend,” he manages, and Lucy makes a noise as he holds him tighter.

“I’m sure this isn’t exactly how you wanted to start a family—”
“There’s been a misunderstanding,” Tim starts immediately. He feels Lucy shift besides him, also just as startled as he is.
“We’re not together,” she finishes. “We’re just partners. At work. Like, on the job.”
“Gofer,” he corrects pointedly. “She’s my gofer.”
“Aide.”

Summary
Lucy saw the Chris Watts documentary that Netflix did, knows it's possible to tell a whole true crime story using nothing more than body cam footage and tapes from local residents' personal security systems, but the more times she watches "All Hail Children of the Star-Studded Death Cult," the more she realizes it's the to-camera interviews that ultimately tie everything together. Well, that and watching her former T.O. embarrass himself on national television.
(Tim and Lucy watch the documentary from "The Rookie" 3x07, "True Crime," plus some bonus dialogue from 4x03, "In The Line of Fire.")

Summary
Lucy opens a drawer and that's when she sees it. A pad of shockingly-neon-pink post-its.
Tim's freaking post-its.
The first month of her rookie year was plagued with those damn post-its. Her T.O. would flag all the mistakes on her reports with post-its, listing the reasons why she's wrong with citations to the Penal Code. It was really aggravating (and a little impressive) how much he could fit onto those small things. After three months, Bradford forewent giving her hints - just placed blank ones in the margins and forced to her to figure it out on her own. By the time she was his go-fer, the post-its were used to mark where she needed to add details. At least Tim trusted her enough that he no longer double-checked her work.
It’s been quite a while since she saw a post-it. And now, she can have her revenge.
OR
A (hopefully) better love story involving post-its.

"I cannot cook for you knowing that there's nothing on under that shirt," he says, frowning, and Lucy grins.
"Easy access, though," she responds coyly, but reluctantly puts on a pair of Tim's boxers when he holds them out to her.
"We will never eat," he insists, and Lucy's laugh follows him all the way into the kitchen.
Less than half an hour later she's sitting on the counter beside him as he stirs the Alfredo sauce. Kojo is sleeping in his bed in the corner of the kitchen, and it's nice, calm and quiet, and he likes it more than he probably should.

Fic request!
------
It’s not like this is the first time she’s worked with him since they started dating. They’ve done this dozens of times before without a single issue. For months, she’s managed to put their relationship aside when they’re on duty, sliding back into their familiar rhythm like clockwork. But something about today—about the way his stupid forearm flexes just slightly when he drums his fingers or the way his shirt stretches just enough when he shifts—is ruining her.And the worst part? The absolute cherry on top of this awful, no-good situation? Tim has no idea. He’s sitting there, completely unaffected, while she’s practically unraveling in the passenger seat.

At first, he thinks every audiobook in existence might have the same effect on him, although a 30-day Audible free trial discounts that theory fairly quickly. While he may be loath to admit it, Lucy was right about him being a kinesthetic learner, and yet it seems the only audiobooks that provide a balm for his sleeplessness are the ones narrated in her clear, serene voice.
