Summary
Josie's eyes widen as she takes in a very important detail.
“Her…her lips,” she notices quietly, and Toni moves her gaze down to catch the stain of blue on Cheryl’s bottom lip.
“No,” Toni chokes, “No, shit, please no. Cheryl! Wake up!” She gets desperate shaking the girl, hoping and praying that Cheryl will still wake up and tell them it was all a joke. Some sick, cruel prank, but a prank nothingless.
But Cheryl isn’t waking up.
They all know what the blue lips mean.
They know immediately.
OR
Cheryl gets poisoned by the blue stuff during rehearsals for the musical, and it causes Toni's world to come crashing down around her.

“You look tired,” Rhaenyra said.
Alicent could not suppress a snort in time. “I was just sick, if you recall,” she said.
“I mean in general. You look… bone weary. You've looked like this for a while.”
Alicent let out a laugh that sounded like a sigh.
“I've been told I seem to be glowing from happiness,” she replied wryly.
Rhaenyra paused and looked intently at Alicent. “Are you?”
“Am I what?,” came Alicent's clipped answer. She felt a familiar itch at her fingernails, and resisted the urge to hide her hands under her skirt.
“Happy,” Rhaenyra did not look away from her face. “Are you happy about getting married?”
“Any maiden would naturally be happy to be getting married,” Alicent smiled and tried not to choke on the words. She hoped Rhaenyra would realize she was uncomfortable and stop pressing the issue. It was not Rhaenyra's nature to be merciful, however.
“But are you happy, Alicent?” she asked once again. Alicent could not remember when was the last time she had heard the Princess speak her name.

she also has a system she's developed to deal with it. and it's so second nature to her that she hardly dwells on it that much. especially not at parties, especially not at one on the Northside, especially not when she sees the most gorgeous girl standing alone by the kitchen counter, a glass of some drink in her hands and a number thirteen above her head.

here’s the thing.
if you had told toni topaz about a year ago that she’d currently be in some restaurant in riverdale sipping mimosas with the craziest girl in town, the cop who was way too good at her job and suffered the price for it, a girl who disappeared years ago only to come back as a goddamn assassin and some kid she’d never met before with a habit for pick pocketing, she would’ve told you to go back to snorting coke off a stripper’s back and leave her the hell alone.
but, again…here’s the thing.
that’s exactly what she’s doing. with three crazy broads, all who she’d never met before a couple weeks ago who now seem to be something akin to sisters to her.
after what they’ve been through, seems strange not to have that kind of sisterhood with them.

toni topaz doesn't consider herself a 'good guy'. neither does cheryl blossom, veronica lodge or betty cooper for that matter. but when riverdale's resident 'bad guy' is close to getting his hands on unlimited funds to source his evil plan, they find themselves banding together to put an end to his madness.
hell, crazy can't be defeated without a little crazy itself.
