Summary
“Did your father abuse your mother?” Sano asks, and the way she says it is almost clinical and detached despite the kindness naturally laced in her speech.
Shouto nods, then realizes Sano probably can’t see the motion. “Yes…” he croaks.
A few moments of silence pass, and it feels like an eternity.
Then comes:
“Did your father abuse you?”
Ice creeps across the back of Shouto’s knuckles, snaking down his wrists and up his arms beneath his blazer and collared shirt. In his mind, he can hear Natsuo’s voice playing like a CD skipping to only the chorus of a song, and the chorus keeps repeating.
“He’s hurt you, too.”

“I can’t imagine you miss him calling you Herr Forehead all that much,” Ema snorted, taking a sip of her own drink. “Must’ve been really annoying.”
“I do miss it,” was the phrase resting on the tip of Apollo’s tongue. But he swallowed it down and shook his head. “I was never so insecure about my forehead until he started calling me that,” he said, rubbing said forehead that had become a little damp with sweat.
“Your forehead isn’t that big,” Ema tried to reassure him, even clapping Apollo awkwardly on the back. Apollo tried not to cough out his beer.
“Th-Thanks,” he stuttered, wiping a few stray drips from his mouth. “I do sometimes miss the random air guitaring in the middle of court,” he admitted quietly.
He missed a lot more than just the air guitar. He missed Klavier.

Summary
“Shit happens,” Katsuki mutters, staring straight ahead, his eyes piercing through the fog. “Things get fucked up.” The heel of his shoe scrapes the pavement, disturbing more dead leaves in its wake. “People die.”
Shouto feels a pang in his chest, like an icicle piercing through his heart.
That couple the other day… they were so young. So vivacious, so full of hope for what tomorrow would bring. Their time was stolen away like an unseasonably early frost settling over the landscape and suffocating the life out of every living thing the ice touches. Their last breaths were ripped from their lungs by a cruel wind at the forefront of a squall.
And all Shouto could do was stand there, too late to preserve whatever warmth was left in their bodies.
[...]
People die.Trees die. Leaves die. The warmth of summer dies as autumn drifts in to make way for the frigid frost of winter, where nothing can grow.
Love dies, too, sometimes.

Summary
Ukai has always had his eyes on Takeda, so he immediately notices when something is off. He notices when Takeda receives a text message that makes him uncomfortable, he notices when Takeda laughs to mask his nervousness, and he notices when Takeda stares at a gay couple, his eyes filled with so much adoration and longing that he can't be as straight as Ukai has assumed.
