The tune is now replaced with shuffling, the leather seat dips down beside him. An Mancunian accent is now ringing inside of his ear after the noises stop - “You going to finish that?”. The blonde blinks his eyelashes back open, meeting his eyes with a pair of glossy blue ones; Liam Gallagher.

He actually was but that doesn't matter. Liam reaches over and slides the drink over to himself and flashes a toothy smile at the other; gums showing and all. Damon raises an eyebrow and realizes that he was definitely (maybe) on something.

“Where am I?” Damon asked.
“Plastic Beach,” Liam answered, as if it was obvious.
“Where?”
“Plastic Beach.”
Damon groaned. “So I gathered, but where on Earth am I?”
Liam scrunched up his face, evidently trying to remember. “Don’t know where exactly. Somewhere in the Pacific, that’s for sure.”
“The Pacific Ocean?” Damon echoed in disbelief, his bewilderment mounting as reality began to set in. He looked into Liam’s face. It was completely devoid of any trace of concern for Damon’s state of mind, instead looking rather pleasantly relaxed. Damon narrowed his eyes and clenched his jaw. “How did I get here? Did you fucking kidnap me?”
Liam’s smile disappeared. “You think I would do something like that? I saved you, Damon.”AU based on Gorillaz lore in which Liam saves Damon from a kidnapping by a mysterious figure and takes him back to his hideaway on an isolated island. But unfortunately for them both more turmoil and adventure approaches on the horizon.

Blur had just dropped Parklife and half the country suddenly decided it was cool to wear tracksuits and pretend they were deep. Oasis were about to release Definitely Maybe and Liam Gallagher’s eyebrows were already more famous than most Britpop bassists. And in the middle of it all was this stupid fake feud between the two bands, mostly stirred up by the NME, but also because Liam was a menace and Damon had a god complex and neither of them could shut up for longer than two minutes.
