Hongjoong sighed as he looked at the email sent to him from his boss. There was one other recipient of the email. A name that brought fear to Hongjoong’s poor heart. Park Seonghwa. His tormentor. His nightmare. The email read: “Hello, I hope this message finds you well. As you know, each year we choose two random employees to plan the Holiday party. You two are our lucky picks this year! You can take a few hours every day over the next few weeks to work on the party so get to planning! Best, Jeong Yunho.”
For the sake of his friends, he would try to make this work. For the sake of Christmas, he would make this work. He could do this. He just had to be kind and understanding. He could do this, he repeated the thought in his head over again. He took a sip from his cooling hot chocolate and he was probably imagining it but he thought he could hear the faint sound of Yunho’s laughter travelling down the hall.

“Ooooh, I’m so terrified~” San sing-songs, hands in the air as he waves them around.
“Merlin, you’re a menace,” Wooyoung grumbles, adding another stem of rosemary to the cauldron, nose picking up on an odd shift in smell he’s not used to.
The grin on San’s face grows impossibly wider. “Yeosang says it’s your influence.”
Or, Wooyoung's one of the most powerful witches of the century, San's a vampire, and literally everyone else knows of his blood-sucking tendencies except Wooyoung.

The voice causes Wooyoung to freeze, and of course it’s after the sound of it reaches him that he realizes the scent of milk chocolate and sea salt enveloping his senses, causing a weight of dread to settle within him. Slowly, he looks down to meet glittering brown eyes shining with wariness and curiosity back up at him.
An awkward silence fills the space between them.
“I understand that this may look rather suspicious.” Wooyoung began, laughing nervously as he tightens his grip around the thick vine.
Prince Choi San simply quirks an eyebrow up, head tilting as he observed the panicking Omega.
“Quite.”
