The Guardians of Positivity and Negativity work more like... batteries than anything else. They absorb emotions, and redistribute them.
So... What happens when you supercharge a battery past capacity?It... becomes an octopus? Apparently?
Or, a collection of fics focused on the idea that the guardians are like batteries, and the incident came about as a failed suicide attempt and an overload of negativity... When you absorb a lot a negative energy but don't have a lot of outlets, you get a perfect recipe...

If the White Bone Spirit had left one of those wisps that possessed the Bull Clones in DBK after episode 10, things would have gone very differently.
Red Son has been through a lot since the events of Episode 10, leaving his family and joining Team Monkie Kid for his own safety. But he started to realize things with this group of people were... starkly different from what he was used to with his parents.

Looking at his own missing persons poster invokes a very odd feeling. They were all over the place, yet Red Son still wasn’t used to it.
He didn’t expect anyone in the city to care that he’s gone missing, or even notice.
But on every street, there was a poster of him.
The picture wasn’t very good; it was one of him and Mei in the celestial realm. An awkward black and white selfie, his face smushed against hers, mouth open awkwardly, showing off his fangs.
Below it were the words “MISSING: RED SON, DEMON BULL PRINCE” And a small description of his features. 5’10, Red hair, black eyes, light skin, slender frame. There was a small mention of his fire powers, and of who to contact.
He didn’t even know his parents had a phone number.
OR-After an accident with his powers Red Son runs away, terrified of hurting his family. Left alone, powerless, and a wanted person in the Megapolis streets, with help coming from an unexpected source
