Summary
She never felt guilty about using her own things.
If Jaiden decided, hey, today I’m going to take all of my supplies and risk building this stupid contraption that may or may not work, then she could do it knowing failure or not, she was the only one at fault.
However, in the rush between taking care of Bobby and her sudden absence, she never got around to proper mining and ended up either behind the curve of everyone else in terms of tools, or being gifted them by Roier. When she fails, it’s Roier’s things she’s wasting.
And that… feels awful.

So everything was fine.

You see, Jaiden hasn’t told Roier that she was aroace, she hasn’t told anyone on the island. And now her fear of disappointing him is eating her up. Because why couldn't she love someone who was clearly such a lovely person?

Jaiden goes quiet for a minute, and for a moment Roier’s convinced she doesn’t want to speak anymore.
“Can I talk to you about something?” She asks, her voice almost smaller.Or, Jaiden gives Roier a gift.
