Summary
YOU — “I really wanted it, Kim.” You sound desperate. “I was trying to get it right so hard. I’m sorry.”
RHETORIC — The s whistles in your lips, and the word is acrid in your mouth as you say it. It doesn’t make you feel better.
KIM KITSURAGI — He looks out through the window. It doesn’t face the sky, it’s only the obscured vision of the small alley. “I don’t doubt you wanted it, detective.”
EMPATHY [Challenging: Success] — He’s not sure he has the words—or better, he has them, but he’s afraid they sound too clinical, too palliative. He’s not sure what you need right now.
KIM KITSURAGI — “That’s not how anything works, unfortunately.”
HALF LIGHT [Challenging: Failure] — What does he know about how things work? About how you work?
YOU — “You don’t understand, Kim.” There’s something wet in your face again. “I don’t think I’ve *wanted* to stop before.” You wipe your cheeks with the back of your hand. “Jean said—did you know? Apparently I said to him—’I don’t want to get better. I want to get worse’. If this is what wanting to get better gets me—what’s the point?”
(Or, Harry plays some board games, relapses, gets shot and adopts a cat, not necessarily in that order.)

Summary
Since this... thing between them started, on a surreal, star-soaked night just outside of Blackwater, Charles has learned two things.
One: Arthur Morgan sleeps like the dead.
Two: the rest of the gang seem to view Arthur’s tent as communal property, and will happily barge in at any time of day or night.
With no warning whatsoever.

Summary
Harry finds himself in the liminal space between Martinaise and actually having to be Harry Du Bois again. He needs to return to his apartment, and his job, and his life, but the prospect is terrifying; everything that was once him is everything he can't allow himself to be ever again. Kim helps him make the transition, and Harry pines wildly over him. They eat food and talk about the homo-sexual underground. Harry tries not to cry a lot.

Summary
“Eds,” he says, and Richie sounds more serious than perhaps Eddie has ever heard him before. “I wasn’t in New York for business. You know that right? You knew that?”
“Yeah,” Eddie says and stares into his coffee, “I knew.”
“Well, as long as you knew,” Richie laughs and it’s a strangled sound, genuine but bitter, and Eddie knows Richie isn’t laughing at him. “As long as you knew that I wasn’t… too busy for you.”
As long as this was your fault and not mine.
“Yes, Richie,” Eddie meets his eyes, “I’m well aware which one of us is the asshole here.”
“That’s not what I meant,” Richie says but he looks away, so it was.
___
Or: Eddie follows Richie to LA (after months of ignoring him) and learns how to live (after decades of just existing).
