Summary
As she’s working with the next few patients (broken leg, UTI, baby with a fever), no one else says anything, though she does get a kind little smile from Jesse that says that he heard what happened but he doesn’t care. Too bad he’s gay. He’s kind and can actually hold a conversation, and that salt and pepper hair is —
“Dr. Mohan,” Abbot calls from somewhere behind her as she’s finishing up her last chart before she hands off to the night shift. “Come see me before you clock out.”

Summary
Langdon looks aghast. “What do you mean you haven’t seen Lord of the Rings?”
“I mean, it’s not intentional,” says Mel. “I just never got around to it. Plus, it does look kind of goofy – isn’t the villain an evil spotlight?”
Garcia laughs, but Langdon looks like she just shot his mother right in front of him.Series

Bookmarker's Notes
chapter 7/7
Mel’s jaw drops at Minas Tirith. “Ok, now this would have justified a honeymoon visit.”
“Noted,” Langdon answers dryly. “Shall we?"
Mel chokes on her tea. Did he just- she glances over at him and he’s smirking into his mug. Asshole. “Is this funny to you?” she asks, focusing back in on the fruit plate he’d recently produced.
“What can I say,” he teases, laughing. “You’re cute when you blush.”
Her face feels so hot, she swears you could fry an egg on her cheeks. “You’re doing this on purpose,” she says. “And it’s mean.”
“Mel, darling,” he says easily. “If you think this is mean, I’m not sure you can handle nice.” Mel makes the mistake of glancing over at him and she instantly regrets it. The look in his eyes makes her toes curl. Her brain shorts out. She eats a grape.

Summary
To outroot an infection, you have to debride the wound, remove the necrosis, and allow time to heal. It’s a principle instilled in Langdon throughout his training, and one he is determined to live by. Recovery isn’t easy, but he has help. And maybe, at the end of day, he might be a better person for it, for her.
Or: Langdon battles his mistakes, Mel learns to let people help her, and Robby thinks maybe the past won't repeat itself.
Technically set a year after my last fic but absolutely no need to read the prior to understand this!

Summary
She looked over at him, startled, but Abbot wasn’t looking at her face, he was looking at her hands where they rested on the table, or maybe at something past her hands that she couldn’t see. “I thought— I mean, you wear a wedding ring,” she said hesitantly.
He looked up at Mohan, keen-eyed and sharp. “Well, I wear dog tags, too,” he said.

Abbot and Mohan's unspoken situationship gets out of hand at work, and Mohan suggests a private conversation.
Whether or not any actual talking gets done is another question, though.
