Summary
Takada had been informed that her mother's disease would get worse in approximately seven years. However, later that same month, things took a turn for the worse, forcing her to move to Kyoto with her family.
Some things that happened far earlier than they should have would surely create big changes. And those particular changes would eventually become enormous enough to break everything that was supposed to happen.
For the better. Let's hope it was.
Or: An alternative universe where Takada Kiyomi moved to Kyoto at 16, Mikami and Takada were the same age when an (almost) accident tied their fates together.
