The revelation that Aziraphale might have been in love with him for thousands of years is surprising. The fact that literal books have been written on the subject comes as even more of a shock.

Another day in Jamrock, another murder. Most cases take a lot of space in a ledger, more than they do in people's hearts. As Kim looked down at the man laying down in the grass, he ignored the parts of him coming undone... the rage, the frustration, he holds them inside. But when he doesn't, where do they go?

"That's different," Albedo says, “a flower can’t desire a person.”

Kaeya laughs softly and tilts his head at Albedo, hair falling away to show his eyepatch. “You are not a flower, Kreideprinz. Look at you.”

Albedo does, instinctively, glances down at his chalk body and his pale skin, gray in the moonlight. Kaeya runs his thumb over the back of Albedo’s hand, says “you feel human to me.”

    Summary

“They’re bitter,” he offers. “Ganyu eats them.”

Barbatos’s eyes go round. “Raw?” he says, astonished. “My word.” He pauses, studying the qingxin in deep contemplation. Then he pops a petal into his mouth and immediately gags.

Xiao concludes then and there that the Anemo Archon is an idiot. “I warned you,” he says, utterly unsympathetic.

“That’s true!” Barbatos laughs. He runs a thumb over the bloom, but (thankfully) doesn’t try to eat any more. “I think it’ll grow on me,” he muses, then smiles, as if he’s said something clever.

A selection of memories. Venti and Xiao, from the beginning to the end—and after.
