Summary
Lance graudated at the top of his class from The Garrison almost three years ago. He was selected to head out on the Kerberos mission with the rest of the crew not long after, going through the preparation and heading out. Now he, and the rest of the crew, have been missing for over two years. Declared dead, and now suddenly he's crashed back on Earth rambling about needing to find a weapon.
Or: Lance is older than Keith by two years and left with Shiro. Suddenly appearing two years later, unaware of how much time has passed and seems to ignore the connection they were growing in search of a weapon he needs to protect from the Galra.

Standing here in a pharmacy that should be empty and dead, in pajamas Maggie hasn't seen in years, in skin that's seen those years, the tangle in her chest suddenly eases. Just a little. Just enough for her to suck a breath in and steady herself. Or try to, at least- the voices seem distant but a tandem, and they're ones she knows. Ones she's missed without even realizing it entirely. Daryl's voice. And then, Glenn's.
It all feels so far away- feels like so much, as she stands there staring at scars she's supposed to earn over the next two years. Her bare feet are filthy. The morning is hot. Humid. Like it was two years ago. Like it is today.

Buck doesn't do therapy in person. Buck doesn't talk about his 1.0 days. Buck doesn't talk about his past sex addiction. What happened was consensual, and his fault, and the team clearly agreed, because they had joked about it. It's fine. It doesn't bother him anymore.
The Los Angeles courts don't quite agree. When probationary firefighter Victor Santana of Station 153 presses charges against Dr. Wells, the team come to realize just how deeply she hurt Buck - and how much Buck hasn't been dealing with it.

Summary
“Eddie, you cannot take him from here. He has a life here. He belongs here...” For a moment I don’t realize what she is saying. I’m not taking Chris away from El Paso.
“...With us” It feels like a punch to the gut. She wants to take my son away from me… Again. I freeze. I feel my fist clench and my jaw tighten. Not again they cannot and will not take my son from me.
“Even if something happened to me he wouldn’t stay with you!” The words feel like they have been ripped from my very soul.
Eddie Diaz struggles with his feelings. This is a fix-it fic of 8x14 to the end of season 8.
Such a large part of me (Sami) wants to close up a lot of loss ends that the show has left untouched. Especially Eddie's grief and guilt surrounding Shannon. I also will not be making this about Shannon Slander. I think Eddie has every right to be angry with her but Shannon is also human and deserved to be loved by someone.Bookmarked by daninitot
