Summary
Two weeks before the premiere of the biggest film of Dave's career, Bro kills himself.
“Dead,” Dirk repeats over the phone. “Bro is D-E-A-D, dead. The apartment is a shithole. Even though the man of the hour is staying in Chez Morgue Drawer, he did a number on the place first. I wouldn’t be asking if I could handle it myself.”
“Just call the Hoarders people. He’s your guy. I didn’t even know him.” Despite being iteration ten thousand, the lie feels less natural than it usually does. “I don’t need to be there. Neither of us do.”
“Totally.” Dirk sounds like sidewalk. “Yeah, no, that was my first thought, but then I slept on it and applied a modicum of critical thinking. In that 'Puppet Fetish Porn Studio Unearthed in Childhood Home of Indie Darling' is gonna boost neither of our ratings.”
Despite the tags, this is a comedy. Or is it?

The shitty thing was that Q had a boyfriend at the time – a ravishing, blond, public-school-boy wank fantasy of an actual, actual boyfriend. Then Bond came along.

Summary
Eddie cast around for topics that might get Richie going—weird movie concepts, gross food combinations, Odd Future, how much all the TV Eddie liked apparently sucked—but nothing seemed like it would be enough to fix whatever this was. Eddie took a deep breath as subtly as he could. “Do you, like, hate it here?”
Richie made a laugh-adjacent noise. “Uh, yeah. What tipped you off?” he said immediately. But then he looked at Eddie out of the corner of his eye. “Do you?” he asked, sounding less sure.
“So fucking much,” Eddie said.

Summary
“When I wake,” Stede said, quite conversationally, “from such dreams, I feel like I really am that slug, and that it’s a great injustice I lived to destroy so many beautiful gardens and never even had the decency to feed myself to a hungry bird. And my whole crew knows it, and you as well, and the only reason for anyone to stay aboard is sheer hopelessness, some deep and primordial longing for death. That at least my buffoonery might entertain them while together we dig our own watery grave.”
He sipped his tea, primly. Edward opened his mouth and closed it again, then reached, dizzily, for his own cup.
“But it’s not true,” said Stede.

“But I don’t even know your name.”
“Yes, you do.” Kim finds the whole situation very funny now. He gently pulls his hand out from Harry’s grip. Then pops two sterile gloves on. Snap. “Come on. Think, Harry.” He looks at Harry patiently. This Harry is worryingly soft at the edges. A preferable twin to the man who stumbled drunk down the stairs that first day in the Whirling. Sweet.
Harry gives him a lost look. “I’ve no idea. I feel like I know everything about you but that.”
