He thinks about how he had to take a shower to tease the unyielding adhesive from his skin, had to scrub body wash on his face like someone had been sitting on it for the past hour (he wishes). It didn’t feel like nothing, even after Greg towels off and examines his reflection, seeing only the hint of a circle on his forehead, slightly red from all the rubbing. Despite the stickers' absence, he had been imprinted upon, somehow.

Tom tilts his head slowly against the pillow, narrowing his eyes up at an old crack in the plaster that's been there since he was ten. He picks the phone up, pressing at the speaker button to quiet Greg into relative privacy, because he literally cannot be hearing what he thinks he is, but if he is, he doesn’t want his fucking dad to hear it. “And what exactly does that mean, Gregory?”
“Like… you know,” Greg says, voice lowering to a particularly insinuating, and waspish, sort of mutter. “Me.”
