It was going to rain; Eddie could feel it in the ache in his shoulder. He’d been able to feel it since he got shot and it had always felt like an omen. That only got more true the last time it rained.
The last time it rained he was thrown off the top of the ladder truck, only to see his Buck dangling unresponsive from the top of the ladder. It was three minutes and seventeen seconds of Eddie not believing he’d ever breathe the same after this thunderstorm, then countless more praying that Buck would breathe at all. So, you could say that Eddie wasn’t quite looking forward to watching the drops of rain race down a windowpane picking one to win against Chris like they usually would. Neither of them was really looking forward to the rain again regardless of the relief it usually brought to the heat of LA.Eddie seeks Buck out for the first thunderstorm after Buck was struck by lightning, they cuddle about it.
