“—and instead of taking it as an obvious sign of obsessive, ridiculous, incomprehensible love, you screamed at him and then ran away.”
Kaveh slams his drink down. “OH, I’M SORRY, WAS I SUPPOSED TO KISS HIM?”
Or, the fine line between academic debate and love confessions, and how Kaveh and Alhaitham are failing to recognize it.

The acting grand sage’s husband made perfect sense! Why wouldnt it? Alhaitham was notoriously a private man so having a secret husband works!
Well that's one issue resolved! Kaveh thought to himself, patting himself on the back for that one.or, the one where Kaveh hears Alhaitham’s in the hospital and immediately invokes his nonexistent husband rights.

Summary
Dr. Veritas Ratio, a marine biologist working with the Jade Center for Marine Wildlife Conservation, has hit a dead end.
After over ten years of fighting a losing battle, trying to convince the common people to care about the world's oceans, he was beginning to grow disillusioned with his work. He had spent so much of his life focused on this goal - was any of it worthwhile? What's the point in trying to protect something that so few people seem to care about?
However, when one of the team's research trips leads to the discovery of a strange new species — a humanoid, semi-aquatic creature calling himself 'Aventurine' — Veritas is forced into action. An important truth about the world existed within the mystery of Aventurine's origin, and he was going to do whatever it took to uncover it.
But the sea does not give up her secrets so easily, and neither does Aventurine. There were many obstacles standing between Veritas and the answers he's been seeking, and some involve acknowledging uncomfortable truths about himself that he's been avoiding.

Summary
Being the messenger goddess of the Pantheon of the Titans, and particularly that of the Olympians who ruled in the name of Preservation, Stelle was used to delivering asinine messages only some of the time but somehow that escalated in number the minute, Aventurine, the god of fortune proposed a competition with Veritas, the god of wisdom and strategic warfare over who could find more deserving patrons worthy of blessings.
Then she found Veritas breaking his vow of chastity made to the Fates for Aventurine. That particular sight, she could have done without.
