“I said it’s funny because we actually have this at home, leather and lace.”
“I mean, yeah, I probably have the album,” David replied, a bit unsure of the point.
Patrick cleared his throat again. Poor thing, whatever he was trying to articulate was clearly not coming easily. “No,” he half-laughed. “I meant we have leather, and we have lace. You have a couple jackets, you know? And the, ah, lingerie.”

Greg is pretty sure there’s a deeper layer to Tom that goes beyond the insane, tyrannical asshole he likes to project. A layer Tom guards fiercely, and a layer Greg wants to uncover. He sees glimmers of it sometimes. Fragments of honesty, shards of vulnerability, brief moments of humility, but he doesn’t see it often enough. And there is something weirdly enticing about that. There is something that appeals to Greg about excavating Tom and gaining his trust. Getting closer to him. Seeing the deeper layer for real, instead of buried beneath the rubble of the Roys.

Summary
One week after finalizing his divorce, Tom takes a private trip to Las Vegas at Greg’s behest, and the two of them black out for the better part of a week together. They assume they must have had a relatively good time, and each put it out of their minds.
Until a month later, when a marriage certificate arrives at Greg’s address and Tom confirms with the Nevada vital statistics that they were, indeed, married in Vegas. To each other.
This, they can’t put out of their minds, not when Waystar gets wind of it and Karolina and Hugo hatch a plan to make their idiotic mistake make sense- namely, they have to pretend they’re actually in love and act unbothered by the idea that they’re a now openly gay couple working at ATN.
However. Being a husband has some perks now and again, even with the ups and downs of their always torrid relationship.
