Summary
Daniel takes a sip of water and it soothes his dry throat as he turns around. He fucking chokes when he’s met with Rashid being about five steps too close to him. Daniel coughs as his heart races. He holds a finger up at Rashid as if to say ‘hold on’ or ‘stay there’. He finally hacks up the last bit of water and takes a few gasping breaths.
“What the fuck man?” Daniel half yells. “Did no one ever teach you what personal space is?” He asks.
Rashid is silent, just smiles like the little shit he is.
“Well?” Daniel asks as he sets the cup down on a counter so he doesn’t accidentally drop it.
“I assumed the last thing you wanted from me was ‘personal space’ Daniel.” Rashid says as he takes another step closer, forcing Daniel to lean back against the countertop.

All the students file out the door in a neat fashion until only Armand remains. Daniel digs his palm into his thigh as he makes sure everyone has left before pulling open his bottom desk drawer and retrieving the other two Polaroids and holding them up to Armand who’s now taken a seat on the end of Daniel’s desk.
“What are these for?” Daniel asks, half stern to untrained ears but with a hint of desire underneath a few layers.
“They’re for you.” Armand says simply with a shit eating grin plastered on his face.
”No shit Sherlock.” Daniel says as he leans back in his chair. “I meant why do you keep giving them to me?”
”Isn’t it obvious?”
“If it was, would I be asking you?” Daniel quips with a tilt of his head.
Armand smiles and looks away at that before hopping off Daniel’s desk and coming around to stand in front of the professor. Daniel looks up at the taller man as Armand leans down ever so slightly.
”I was hoping to earn some… extra credit.” Armand whispers in Daniel’s ear as he braces himself against Daniel’s thighs.

But as the interviews continued, Rashid’s wardrobe seemed to evolve into a deliberate act of psychological warfare aimed squarely at Daniel Molloy’s remaining self-control. Every evening, the collars dipped lower, exposing smooth brown skin and the elegant line of his throat in increasingly distracting amounts. Some shirts hung so loosely that Daniel would catch glimpses of his breasts and collarbone whenever Rashid leaned over to place a drink beside him, pale gold light catching against the hollow at the base of his neck.
