She recalled Silco, and how he allowed her to hold onto his coattails or hide behind his legs, but that was different. She, of course, killed Silco. She had never killed her mom. Jinx wasn’t sure what to do with a little thing, refusing to leave, but never uttering a word. It made her feel weird.

She knows you as the thirteen year old who was fierce, loyal, loving, gentle. Wouldn't take a life unless absolutely necessary.
Ellie knew you, but the person in front of her was not you. It wasn't that girl who she'd known years ago. She searched your eyes for even hint of that girl, but there was nothing.
