Summary
Matt's frequent head injuries finally catch up to him, and he winds up in hospital after a series of seizures.
The problem is, the seizures don't go away. When Matt's former college girlfriend, Elektra, mysteriously shows up in New York wanting help investigating the Roxxon Corporation, Matt quickly finds out epilepsy and his Daredevil activities aren't exactly compatible. But will it stop him?
This is essentially an indulgent hurt/comfort story, as well as a celebration of Matt and Foggy's friendship.

Summary
“Foghh, pleahh”, Matt appealed. Foggy knew about his fear of hospitals, so why was he letting this happen?
“Matty, you have to.” Foggy tried to placate him by using his childhood name. “You hurt your head. You had a seizure and you can’t even pronounce my name. This is not negotiable.”
Matt’s hand was rubbed with oh-so-familiar-smelling alcohol. The paramedic reminded him (“now a small prick”) as the cannula entered his vein. He appreciated the warning, but he was angry that they still weren’t listening to him. He didn’t want this. They couldn’t do this to him, surely. If only he could find the words..."
*Matt Murdock gets whacked in the head (at least that's what he thinks might have happened) and it quickly goes downhill from there. Despite his protestations, he ends up in hospital following multiple seizures. Fortunately, Foggy's constantly by his side to discuss important topics like aliens, carrots, and dogs. (it's not all sad, I promise).*

Summary
"Contrary to popular belief, I know exactly what I'm doing." Tony said, barely sparing Rhodey a glance after taking a swig of some dark liquid that didn't look like scotch or soda. Rhodey knew that was his cue to leave, Tony's version of a polite dismissal, but his feet were rooted to the floor. He couldn't take his eyes off the dark lines climbing up Tony's neck, lines they both knew weren't road rash. Road rash didn't look like it was trying to poison the brain. It didn't create the paleness of his skin, the sweat from his brow, and the tiredness of his eyes. It didn't cause him to collapse, too weak to hold himself up.

In a universe where Rhodey didn't let the road rash excuse go, events pan out very differently.
