Steve Harrington never planned for Eddie Munson.
Steve was supposed to marry his high school sweetheart, have 2.5 children, and take over the family business. He was supposed to live a blissful life on a nondescript cul-de-sac, complete with a white picket fence and a closet full of tasteful polo shirts. Summary
The beginning of a new season brings not one but two surprises for Lord Steven Harrington, the Ton’s most notorious rake.
First, there's a new gossip pamphlet written by someone known as Lady Upside Down who threatens to turn the Ton on its head, though no one is quite sure exactly what that means.
Second, and more importantly, is the arrival of Lord Edward Munson. Having someone new to pursue is rare for Steve, and when he sets his sights on Eddie, he knows this will be no ordinary conquest.
But, as with most things in the Ton, all is not as it seems. Eddie has secrets that drive his actions in ways that even Steve could never fathom, secrets that must come to light if the pair are to find out if love can truly bloom between them. And Lady Upside Down’s missives begin to do as she threatens, pushing for change whether the Ton likes it or not.
Meanwhile, Steve keeps perhaps the biggest secret of all.
As Steve and Eddie orbit one another, a darkness that has been growing for decades begins to rise, one that might just swallow all of London whole if they can’t find a way to stop it.

The first thing Steve thought of when he saw her there on his doorstep, lip split open and dry blood flaking off her chin, was that she had been in some sort of accident.
“Jesus Max, how bad are you hurt-” He asked, sleep all but forgotten when the only response she could manage was a broken whimper. She stood with her arms wrapped around herself like she was trying to hold herself together, shaking ever so slightly as she drew breath in. He hadn’t seen her looking like this since Billy’s funeral.

Summary
For Steve, things never went according to plan. He had never thought he’d be graduating in ‘86, the same year as Robin and Nancy, a year after be was supposed to. But he also never planned on letting anyone find out that he’s one of the kids from Hawkins’ Lab, that he’s like Eleven.
But now he’s spending his lunchbreaks with the Hellfire Club and finds himself befriending Eddie “The Freak” Munson. And maybe he also has a tiny crush on Munson, not that he’d ever admit that to anyone.
Hawkins being Hawkins, a year can never be complete without another threat from the Upside Down, and if there was one thing Steve had definitely not planned for, it was Eddie getting dragged into the whole mess alongside the rest them.OR: Steve is Seven and failed his classes causing him to have to repeat his last year of Highschool. He and Eddie become friends and maybe something more but then Vecna attacks and Eddie is pulled into a part of Steve’s life he never wanted him to be a part of.
