And this year, Mydei is here, more importantly. It’ll be his first Solstice with the Chrysos Heirs, his first Solstice since joining the Flame-Chase Journey, and Phainon is determined to commemorate the occasion by getting him something extraordinary.

The rustle of fabric, the sound of a sigh. Something warm is draped around Phainon’s shoulders. A blood-red, shiny coat. The inside is terribly soft, and that smell—Mydei’s smell—clings to it too. “At least wear a jacket if you’re going to be stubborn,” he says, and he’s still standing there when Phainon turns his head to look. He’s left in a tight black t-shirt, arms bare and folded against the chill, ruffled but pretending not to be.
Phainon’s chest hurts. “What about you?” he asks.
“I’m fine,” Mydei says.
“You’re shivering.”

There were not a lot of good movies to watch recently, so Ratio picked out a random horror movie. Aventurine hasn’t watched a lot of horror movies, but he’s confident that after what he’s been through in Penacony, nothing phases him now. So they turn on the TV, grab snacks and turn the lights off.
“Is… turning off the lights necessary?”
“No, but they say that it ‘enhances’ the experience.”
“You should stop listening to what social media says!”
Or: Ratio and Aventurine live together and watch a horror movie at night. Unfortunately, due to such a horrific movie, neither of them were able to sleep.

There’s a balcony overlooking the city far, far below, and plenty of ways to pass the time. It’s a good life he’s living. Aventurine is content.

There’s a sleepy murmur, a drowsy whisper of her name. Ganyu feels a small but happy smile tug at her lips at the sound, her heart giving a tentative flutter when she looks down to see how comfortable her girlfriend is. Keqing’s head is nestled against the adeptus’ chest with her ear pressed to Ganyu’s heart, her eyes shut and pouty lips parted in an adorable slant. Her breath puffs out warmly against Ganyu’s arm and her face is more relaxed now than it’s been all week, young and free from stressors and deadlines.
