“I was betting on you having a jacket.” Tommy confessed, not a hint of hesitation or regret as he spoke with a slightly cocky tone. Spencer did almost always have a spare for Tommy.
“Not everything revolves around you, Tommy Bowe." Spencer inhaled sharply, shrugging his shoulders. He could laugh at the irony, because everything in his world did revolve around Tommy Bowe.

Spencer huffs a quiet laugh. "Fuck you," he says. It's quiet at this end of town. They can't see the stars, but it's still good. Spencer tips to the side, resting his head on Tommy's shoulder.

When he returns to answer his emails, he remembers to dig his phone out from between the couch cushions to find a notification that he's been invited to join a group chat. He reluctantly accepts. It's called M:GTB. He frowns. What does that mean?
He stops Erin on her way out of the office at the end of the day. "What does it stand for?" he asks.
"Mission: Get Tommy Boned," she replies, deadpan. He stares at her, and the corner of her mouth quirks. "See you tomorrow, Spencer."
(or: amanda and erin recruit spencer and a few other cast members to set tommy up with the perfect boyfriend. (un)fortunately, spencer finds something wrong with every single option.)

“It’s like he’s a superhero,” Tommy says, indignant because he can be. Because he’s been thirsting over this DJ guy for months now while planning to sleep with this other guy, but they’re the same guy, and that’s fucked. Tommy sinks lower into the couch, scowling down at his drink, “or a serial killer.”
“Oh please,” Amanda laughs, swirling the wine in her glass and raising an eyebrow, “he’s a radio personality, not Bundy.”
“But still,” Tommy whines, voice petulant. He raises a foot up to the couch, forcing himself smaller.
“He introduces himself like every thirty minutes,” Courtney adds, leaning forward and pressing hard on his arm, “It’s not like he’s keeping a secret identity.”
Tommy frowns, sips at the vodka soda Courtney made for him, and picks a thread off of his jeans. “He calls himself ‘Spence’ on the radio,” he protests but it sounds stupid even as he says it. He shouldn’t be this frustrated, but it’s… shit, it’s kind of embarrassing, okay? Like, c’mon, what are the odds there’d be two guys on the night show at the station named some variation of Spencer who he had banter with?

He expects the organization that put him here to come and kill him. What he doesn't expect is that, apparently, that organization has changed hands a few times and didn't even know he was out here or that something wrong was happening at all.
He certainly doesn't expect Damien to be alive.
On the other hand, Damien didn't expect Shayne to be existing at all.

There's a man standing beside the check-out counter, making catty comments about every customer's purchase that passes by. The man makes no effort to move out of the way or keep his voice down, but no one seems to notice, or if they do, they don't seem to care. Maybe he does this a lot, maybe his ranting has become as ingrained to the shop as the grey carpeted floor, the lights overhead, the dusty greige paint on the walls. So obvious that he just fades into the background, unheard and unnoticed.
