Summary
Kenny wouldn’t necessarily call himself a cynic, and he liked to keep an open mind, but at the end of the day he only really believed in things he could see.
Like ghosts.
-
Just when Kenny thought his life couldn’t get any worse, he and his old friends start being literally haunted by their past, and have to reunite for one last adventure to save their souls or some lame shit like that.
Oh and also he falls in love. Somehow that’s worse than all the other crap.

Summary
It wasn’t exactly that he didn’t want to get lunch with Stan, just that he definitely wanted to catch up on what he’d been up to the last almost decade, and Kenny didn’t really know where to start.
‘So what have you been doing, Ken?’
‘Heroin mostly. I dabbled in cocaine too, and pills.’
Yeah. Because that made for such good conversation.
-
Kenny’s life is pretty much a train wreck, and then Stan comes crashing back into it.

"The one time you’re not wearing that coat is when you decide to make snow angels?" he asked, a slightly strained smile on his face.
Kenny let his head loll to the side and laughed weakly. "I like the cold," he croaked.
Stan grabbed Kenny’s hand with a firm grip that was so warm Kenny almost gasped. "No you don’t."

Summary
Stan cut himself short, smiling as Kenny pulled out a big bottle of vodka; Kenny smiled too, with a very familiar mischievous kind of glint in his eye. "Happy birthday."
Stan reached for the bottle then into his desk drawer to pull out the plastic shot glasses he’d stolen from a bar; they were meant to be disposable but he was getting a lot of use out of them. "Have I ever told you I love you?"
Kenny grinned as he leant over Stan’s shoulder while he poured the shots; his breath tickled his cheek. "Eh one more time won’t hurt."
"I love you so freaking much dude."
"I love you too, sappy. Now come on." Kenny picked up his shot and held it out to Stan. "We’re gonna have fun tonight."

"Yeah, I’m gonna go home," Kenny said. "I’ve had my fill of pretentiousness for tonight."
"Me too," Wendy admitted. "But I don’t wanna walk home on my own."
Kenny hesitated then held a hand out to her. "I’ll take you."

Summary
None of that mattered though, because Kyle wasn’t there and Kenny was and Stan was crying in his room.
He should probably do something about that

Summary
Since dropping out of high school he’d maintained his job at the auto shop during the day, but it was becoming increasingly clear that he was involved in some pretty sketchy shit. Stan hadn’t asked, because to be honest he wasn’t sure he wanted to know the answer, but the least he could do was let Kenny sleep it off.

Summary
"I’ll level with you here," Kenny said, setting his cup down and turning to face Stan directly. "I need some fucking cash, and you need to be able to call homophobia whenever someone questions your relationship status. So, like, I’m not saying we should pimp ourselves out to fujoshis but—"
"We should totally pimp ourselves out to fujoshis."
-
Or Stan needs to prove he’s over Wendy, Kenny needs to make some quick cash, and there’s really only one reasonable way to do that: going gay for pay.

Summary
Stan didn’t have to say anything; the look on his face said enough. It was a mixture of guilt, disgust, all underpinned by a feral sort of starvation. Kenny sighed and walked into the kitchen. He pulled the biggest butcher knife they had out of the drawer. He tested it against his index finger, ruby red blood pooling as the tip of the blade easily pierced his skin.
"What do you want?" he repeated, sitting back down at the table, so quiet it was almost drowned out by the rain pounding against the window.

Summary
But Stan had a problem. For the past year or so, every time he sat down to write, his pen would magically write pages and pages about blonde hair and tan skin, about a cloud of cigarette smoke and an orange parka.
He couldn’t perform that. Not when everybody, especially Kenny, would know that they were love songs.Stan has to write a song for Crimson Dawn to perform at their upcoming talent show, and also keep his huge embarrassing crush on his friend a secret. It’s harder than he expected.

"I have an idea," Kenny said. "It’s sort of, potentially, kinda weird and I’m not sure if it’ll work."
Stan glanced at him with a grin. "We grew up with Eric Cartman, I’m pretty sure half assed plans are second nature to us by now."
"Good point. So basically, I’m gonna propose to you tonight so we get free dessert."

"Not everything about me has to be stereotypically goth," Stan said. "And even so this is like the ultimate act of nonconformity, by not conforming with the noncomformists."

Stan felt his stomach turn over. "Shut up."

Here’s the thing:
Ever since Kenny was about eight years old, and he started looking at girls as, well, girls, he’d had a crush on Wendy Testaburger.
The problem was, so did Stan. It was the first thing they had in common, not that he knew it, and Kenny was getting really tired of being selfless about it. -
