Rodrick Heffley didn’t ask to be transferred to North Shore High, a place ruled by hallway hierarchies, glittery flip phones, and Regina George—the queen bee who could probably ruin a life before breakfast. He’s a grunge band loser with a penchant for pranks, sarcasm, and ignoring authority, and somehow, Janis Ian convinced him that surviving here was possible… if he avoided the Plastics at all costs.
But fate (and poor decision-making) has a sense of humour. One stolen glance becomes a smirk, one sarcastic remark becomes a secret rivalry, and suddenly Rodrick finds himself embroiled in Burn Book entries, house parties, and the most dangerous game of all: keeping a queen bee off-balance without getting burned.
The line between hate and… something else is thinner than either of them expected.
