But to be a stranger was better than to be a reincarnation of Howard Stark, Tony decided. Tony had despised his father; his father had hated his grandfather, and his grandfather had fled to America because he hated his great-grandfather so much. It was only destiny for a Stark to be a terrible father, but Tony could break the cycle. Tony would break the cycle.
He wouldn't be suffocating and agressive and abusive, like Howard. He would never scream at his son, or hit him or force him to mature before he was ready. It would be better if removed himself from the equation entirely, and allowed his son to grow up unburdened by all of his generational shittiness.

Summary
Finding Peter in precarious situations, when he’s passed out in an alleyway somewhere or crawling through Tony’s window at two in the morning with a knife through his shoulder was bad enough back before the blip. It made Tony panic, made his heart skip beats in a fashion even more irregular than normal, made his left arm ache intensely and his head feel like it was going to explode.
Tony might not be as fine after what happened on Titan as he wants to be, but at least he has a reckless spider-kid to stress him out even more.

Summary
It was some kind of cosmic fluke — because nobody would actually mistake Peter for Mr Stark’s kid and that Rhodey would have just been tired and stressed and caught off guard, and so had greatly misjudged the situation. Because nobody in their right mind would ever legitimately think that Peter Parker could be related to Tony Stark.
As the days and weeks and months passed on, he began to forget it; the memory never completely went away, instead pushed to the back of his mind and discarded.

Peter knew that his Uncle Ben loved his green jacket — it was big and warm and comfortable and Ben just loved to rub that in everybody’s faces.
He wore it everywhere; to work, to see Peter’s grandma, to the synagogue in the holidays, to Peter’s parent-teacher meetings… everywhere. It was rare to see one without the other.
Peter thought it was funny when he first moved in with Ben and May — he laughed when he saw his uncle wearing the jacket over his work uniform because of how silly it looked, he laughed when Ben sat on the couch using his jacket as a blanket. May would roll her eyes and tell Ben that he had an unhealthy attachment to it, that it was old and needed stitching up, and Ben would flip her off and tell her that she was boring.
Five times Peter stole his Uncle Ben's favourite green jacket, and the one time he gave it to someone else to wear.
