“Uh, headache. Deeply wrong.” And then Merlin adds offhandedly, “Oh, and like I’ve switched bodies with the Crown Prince of Camelot.”
Or: Merlin and Arthur accidentally swap bodies. This would be a great opportunity for Merlin to relish in making Arthur muck out the stables, if the prat hadn't also gotten Merlin's magic in the exchange.

Merlin lets out an indigent grumble; because not even the fact that Morgana is going through an emotional crisis is enough to deter him in his pettiness. “Not worried about it being poisoned anymore, are you?”
“It wouldn’t be anything she isn’t used to,” Arthur assures, with a dismissive wave of a hand. “Betrayal and resentment for breakfast? Mm. Just like father used to make.”
His boyfriend dutifully huffs a laugh.
Ignoring them, Morgana takes a sip from the glass that has been thrust into her trembling hands. Her breath feels short. Her head swims. Still, she lifts her chin and meets their expectant eyes.
Well, shit. There’s no escaping it now.
“I’m dating Gwen, aren’t I?”
Five times Morgana couldn't figure out who the hell Gwen is dating, and the one time she realised it might be her. She, of course, blames it all on Uther.

“Don’t you think you’ve lied enough?” It’s a low blow, they both know it. Merlin can tell Arthur regrets it as soon as he says it, because he drops his head into his hands and rubs at his temples, blowing out a frustrated breath. “Just tell me. Please,” he adds, his tone filled with sad resignation.
