Jabber only showed up at the Grand Prix Final because Amo wouldn't stop talking about some figure skater named Zanka Nijiku.
Zanka Nijiku, Japan's beloved Silver Seal and one of the sport's rising stars, leaves traces everywhere he goes: on the ice, in competition record books, and in the minds of everyone who watches him skate.
He leaves one on Jabber, too.
The prodigy of Team USA hockey can't get Zanka's short program—or a certain spin—out of his head. He thinks he'll never see the skater again.
That is, until a scheduling mistake forces them to share practice ice while preparing for the upcoming Olympics, and Jabber quickly realizes there's far more to Japan's beloved Silver Seal than the image the world sees.

He's overheard other doctors whisper and mumble behind his door about this person… some ‘expert' that comes from a family that's familiar with torture. Yeah, that's definitely getting his attention.
