Summary
Dutch had followed her in the bathroom, blabbering excuses about not wanting to put up with the boy at the desk, and praising the importance of sticking together if they wanted to make a run for it. Nonsense, all of it. Dutch simply can't let Hosea have something nice without poking her nose into it. And Hosea has resigned herself to the fact that she doesn’t actually mind the company.
If Dutch doesn’t try to talk her way into the tub, Hosea will consider it a failure of her instincts.

“Love is weakness,” Roba had warned him once. Simon hadn’t truly understood the weight of those words until his family was slaughtered a few months later; until he had to stand in front of a tiny headstone where a six year old was buried six feet under, an excruciating kind of pain tearing through him as he knelt on muddy dirt.

He thinks of Roba’s words again when Soap pauses at the edge of his bed with his t-shirt in his hand and turns back to look at Ghost with a hesitant expression.
“I ship out early tomorrow for that mission with Gaz,” he starts, fiddling with the fabric. He looks at Ghost as if waiting for him to realize what he’s asking without having to say it. Ghost stares back in confusion.
“Okay…”
“Well I won’t really get ta see ye again for two weeks. I was wondering if maybe I could…I dinnae ken. Maybe spend the night?”
“Johnny…” Ghost mutters.
Soap lets out a forced laugh.
“Figured ye might not want that, just thought I’d ask. I’ll see ye in two weeks, then-“

Summary
Where does a friendship end and where does a love begin?
Gromsko and Chuy, teammates by chance and best friends by choice seem to be stuck unable to answer that question.
When Fate rolls her dice, it pushes them straight into each other's arms where they finally find comfort, shielding each other from nightmares as they hold on tight to survive the horror of a broken soldier's night.
Is it fair though, to keep holding your best friend so close, feel his heartbeat underneath your fingertips, while these dirty, sinful thoughts start to sneak up on you, telling you to try your luck and see how far you can take it before your friend realises that you, offering a "helping hand" comes with a few emotional strings attached?

Summary
While stuck in port for repairs, the crew of esteemed pirate Captain John Price's vessel keep themselves busy with a variety of activities. For one John 'Soap' MacTavish, this includes accepting a contract to hunt down a ferocious sea monster referred to as "The Ghost", which seems to have an insatiable taste for human blood and a horrifying skull face that drives survivors to madness. Soap manages to injure the creature during a storm, but can't quite make the killing blow before it slips back into the abyss from which it came.
But when he finds it hiding in a cave to nurse its injuries, he learns that the Ghost is more than just a ravenous, mindless beast, and he has to make an important decision: complete the bounty and get enough gold to cement himself as one of the greatest pirates of all time, or betray his found family and side with a known killer.

Gaz let out a loud sigh as he shifted in the bed, pressing his face into the other man’s soft, fluffy sweatshirt, and stretching his long legs out, his socked foot tucking around the other man’s ankle.
“I just don’t really know what to do next,” he muttered, shifting in even closer as a welcomed arm wrapped around him. “I’ve flirted, like everywhere…in the mess hall, on the shooting range, at the bar, and everything, I mean everything sails right over his head.”
Gaz is getting frustrated that his interest in Price is going unnoticed, Soap tries his best to help.

Summary
John MacTavish, known to most of his friends simply as “Soap”, is about as unlucky in love as you could get, never finding someone that would give him enough of a chance for a second date, resorting to sleeping around when he gets stood up. Simon Riley (aka Ghost), his best friend, seems to be the only person in the world willing to give Soap a chance, but the dumbass (Soap, that is) can’t see past the fact that Ghost isn’t very good at talking about things, and is completely and utterly oblivious to how Ghost feels about him.
It reaches breaking point when, after dancing around each other for years, one of them cracks, starting a cataclysmic chain of events that will either make, or break, their friendship (and also win, or lose, Gaz about £200).
