Summary
"My name is Daniel. I've been sent here to welcome you." Buck blinked, confused. Daniel. Did he know that name? It felt important. Buck scrunched one eye closed and tried to focus. "And where, exactly, are you welcoming me to?"
Daniel's smile only grew until he was well and truly glowing with it. He spread his hands in an all encompassing gesture. "To Heaven, of course!"

Summary
"Since Eddie had announced his departure at Christmas, Buck had been hot-headed and reckless, acting before thinking and arguing like a child. Eddie, for his part, had been just plain pissy - snapping at anyone and everyone for reasons unknown to all but him."
Bobby has had enough of Buck and Eddie arguing, Buck says something he really didn't mean to, Eddie is so tired.
I decided to post this as three short chapters, each from a different pov.

Summary
"Eddie was sitting at the dining table with Chris to his right and Buck to his left, in front of them all on the table a mess of candy, icing and cookie crumbs. Normally the mess would inspire instant stress within Eddie, but today was Christmas eve and he just couldn't make himself care. Not when Christopher and Buck's happiness was the cause of it. The mess was a small price to pay for the smiles that made his heart soar."
It's Christmas-y, it's fluffy, there's gingerbread, and implied matching Christmas pajamas. What more could you need?

Summary
"It was getting too painful to pretend that everything was fine. Sitting through long nights of lonely silence in each others apartments. Feelings of complete abandonment while sitting together at dinner. A sense that your boyfriend would rather be running through literal flames than spending time with you can really put a damper on a relationship."

My muse took an extended vacation so I decided to randomly generate a theme, word count and a must-use sentence to try and get the creativity flowing again. These are the outcome.

Summary
Buck knew what to do when Eddie got like this. Getting Eddie to talk about it had been like pulling teeth but eventually, he’d told Buck what he needed and had warned Buck that it would be hit or miss if it even worked. But hearing about it and seeing it with his own eyes was something completely different.
It wasn’t a morning Buck had woken up expecting but it was a morning where Eddie needed him the way he needed Eddie so many times. Eddie needed someone to catch him and Buck was more than happy to slide under to stop his fall.
Eddie falls into Top Drop and Buck does everything he can to catch him.

Summary
eddie's not entirely sure he believes in getting help, at least not for himself. there's only so much healing to be had for a body torn apart by bullets, for a mind that's only half there, for a man who's been leaving pieces of himself behind all his life with nothing to take their place.
except, as it turns out, falling apart happens in increments, and healing does, too: it happens when you gnaw a hole in your lip trying to keep quiet only to have the words escape; when you realize that the ghost you've been seeing out of the corner of your eye is yourself; when your best friend smiles, and you allow it to take your breath away.
it happens through the smallest of things: bird feeders, and cacti, and pasta shapes.
meanwhile, the world goes on.
(or: the entity often affectionately referred to as the unrepression fic.)

Summary
“Why would they have nails in the first place if they weren’t going to include a hammer,” Buck mumbled to himself as he searched through the spare parts and discarded packaging. “Where am I going to find a hammer? Bobby probably has one. Or maybe I could just use this piece as a hammer?”
He glanced up, one of the wooden planks already held aloft to strike the nails, and caught sight of Taylor’s dubious expression.
He grinned, “I’m 80% sure this will work.”
Flatpacking is the true test of any couple. For BuckTaylor Week 2022 Day 1 prompt: “I’m 80% sure this will work.” + working together.

Summary
It’s—enough, to have him blinking out of his reverie, the second between the give of the bat against something, the sound of broken glass against the floorboards, and then he’s no longer on the street, or in the helicopter, or the ambulance, and he’s just back in his living room, his dark blue living room, and—
And Buck. Buck is here.
Buck, hands raised above his head. Buck, eyes wide. Buck, the same colour as the dusky floorboards.
Buck. Is here. And Eddie nearly hit him with a baseball bat.
“Oh fuck,” Eddie breathes, and the bat slips from his grasp.
or, Eddie breaks down. Buck is there.

Summary
“I understand –“
“You don’t. He’s not your kid.”
The words just slipped out and he can’t take them back, and so Eddie can only watch helplessly as Buck visibly shatters. He makes a small step forward, towards Buck, but stops dead in his tracks when he sees the anger and hurt in the other man’s eyes.-- When Buck confronts Eddie about his decision to leave the 118, things go from bad to worse, and Eddie fears that this time a few choice words have ruined everything. Will he be able to fix what's been broken?
