How could you hurt me!” He pictures himself bleeding out from a knife wound like that chick Two-Bit Mathews saw at the Dingo, and madly, he thinks then Dad’ll be sorry. He winds his fingers through his hair and tugs, hoping the sting will bring him back to Earth.
He wants Momma.
