In-ho drops the gun, pulls his arm and takes him into a hug. Gi-hun doesn't hug him back, but rests his forehead on his shoulder. "I hate you."
"I know." He runs his fingers through Gi-hun's hair; it really is growing back. "I know."
“I hate you.” His tears dampen In-ho's shirt but he doesn't care. He doesn't dare to let him go.
“Shh… I know.”
The island was destroyed. All that's left are two winners who are learning to deal with the burden of survival.

And then In-ho smiled, lips parting. “I’ll have you know I don’t make a practice of bringing strange men home with me.”
“I guess it’s good I’m not a strange man, am I?” Gi-hun’s nerves jangled, his skin hot, his tongue slow and stupid. In-ho was biting his lower lip, his eyes focused on Gi-hun’s chin or nose, some spot below his eyes.

“I’m not homeless.” Gihun protested, though Junho eyed him with disbelief. Gihun’s throat tightened and he felt the beginning of tears sting his eyes, the shock and adrenaline of the night wearing off. “I had a home, but I just, I can’t go back.” Gihun explained, a bubble of snot dripping down his face, which he hastily wiped away. “My mom, she’s-she isn’t there anymore. I’m in so much debt I can hardly afford a new place. And my ex-wife and child are both in America. I’ve been staying at a friend’s place.”
Junho fell silent, then quietly muttered something that sounded like, “…going to kill me.” After a brief moment of hesitation, Junho turned to Gihun. “How would you feel about becoming my brother’s roommate?”
Or, the time Gihun became Inho's roommate and they work together to solve the case of a serial dognapper while also trying to muddle through their growing feelings for each other.

Regardless, this was supposed to be his second chance. Gihun planned on keeping his head down, say yes to any request no matter how shady and dangerous, and rake in enough money to finally get custody for Gayoung.
He didn’t plan on Ilnam’s strange, obsessive son, Inho. Nor did he plan for the world of insanity that awaits.

Summary
An ache in his chest. Gi-hun, this strange yet kind-hearted man who looks at him like he hasn’t done the unforgivable, somehow has not only carved out a peaceful haven full of flowers and light in the middle of the chaotic city of Seoul– but has somehow carved a place inside In-ho too. Taken root somewhere deep inside of him without asking, without force. Just did so and simply stayed there. Like it was where he belonged all along.
He doesn’t know what to do with this. How to hold feelings so gentle without breaking them.
Regardless, a feeling blooms in his chest. Familiar– he knows this feeling but has not felt for a long time. Warmth. It scares him. It comforts him. The roots fill cracks inside him that had long gone numb.

Their eyes meet again and Gi-hun’s gaze is bright and intense now.
“What else could you possibly crave?” Gi-hun murmurs.
In-ho smirks softly, letting his eyes run slowly over the other man. “I could show you.”

In-ho is a man who has the world at his fingertips, but nothing in his life has meaning. Gi-hun has been dealt a bad hand in life and is not used to nice things. They meet and what ignites between them could potentially burn Gi-hun's life to the ground, but he's never been good at self-control.

Gi-hun is married, a ring on his finger, and dutiful house-husband to Inho. So why doesn't he remember this? Come to think of it, why is he locked in this house and pretending everything is fine when the only things he sees in his sleep are the screams of people he cannot put names to? Pink walls, pink soldiers, red stains and gunshots. And always, always the lingering chill that something about this whole arrangement isn't quite right.
But In-ho is a good husband. Sure, Gi-hun's not allowed to leave the house unsupervised, or call his friends. But such is the price to pay for a happily ever after...or is it?

“What if I don’t like it?” The deep voice of the other man murmurs, cutting off Gi-hun’s movements midway.
Gi-hun hums, thinking for a moment until something makes his gaze twinkle with a hint of mischief.
“You won’t have to pay for it, and I’ll even give you a drink of your choice instead,” he says, resuming his movements. “But if you like it…” Gi-hun continues with a smirk, letting the words hang in the air as he grabs the mixing glass and starts shaking it. “You pay for it.” A brief pause, and his eyes gleam with a mischievous light, locking onto the other man’s. “Double.”
The same spark ignites in the other man, mirroring the smirk playing on Gi-hun’s lips.
“Deal,” he replies, and Gi-hun lets out a quiet laugh.

There’s another pause, longer this time. Gi-hun resolutely avoids glancing at the mirror.
“Well, please,” his passenger says, cordial. “If it’ll make you feel better, you have my permission to look at me.”
Gi-hun has driven a lot of assholes in his three years as a chauffeur, but this may be his biggest one yet.
