“You surely have bought yourself enough time,” said Javert bitterly. There was a guilty look on Valjean’s face, his lips downturned to reveal a sheepish grin. He almost looked abashed. “To claim sanctuary on holy grounds—Valjean, your plan is almost flawless. You are untouchable for weeks to come.”

- forcefully listening to a very drunk Marius
- being utterly outraged by Valjean's dirty cups and inappropriate behavior.Written for a dear friend at his request.
I see this relationship developing rather in the musical-verse than the brick itself. There are so many amazing Javerts and Valjeans, and some of them, in my humble opinion, could take their relationship to this stage.

“Again?” Valjean asked, and some lingering tendril of the darkness within Javert quails from the affection packed into that single word. He quakes in his lover’s arms, hand rising to clutch at the scarred wrists that press against his hips.
“Yes,” he croaks, voice hoarse from disuse.
Valjean says nothing in reply, but dips his head to press a kiss to Javert’s chest where his heart beats sluggishly against the confines of its fleshy prison.

Summary
Valjean closed his eyes, his head coming to rest against his shoulder as Javert drew his hands into his lap. Silently, he began to smooth the salve into the inflamed joints, breathing in time with Valjean as the fire hissed and sputtered. The dry skin soon gleamed from the rendered fat, and his fingers slid easily across the palm that he had come to know as well as his own. Valjean's fingers were shorter than his, but thicker; gnarled now from the ache in his joints, though they relaxed more and more as Javert massaged him patiently, until at last Valjean's palm lay relaxed in his own.
