Summary
On days like these, especially, when everything seemed too loud and sharp and discordant in their ears, and their mind, already finely tuned to the melody of Penacony—and in turn the Dreamscape—was easily overwhelmed by things they were typically able to ignore, they longed for the soft pressure of silence.

Summary
Dazai and Bram weren't very close.
This was a pretty well-known fact amongst anyone who knew the two. It wasn't out of malice, or spite, or any kind of Ill-intent, it was just a simple fact. Dazai and Bram weren't very close.
But oh how Dazai wished that could change.

Summary
Nikolai never believed in Angels.
Not in the Heavens, not in Hell, not in whatever Gods were being preached at the time, not in anything of an unexplained power, no, Nikolai was never a religious man. He found the whole thing laughable. Who would be so pitiful and weak-willed as to put their own life into the hands of a make-believe force they claimed as their "Gods"?
So no, Nikolai never believed in Angels.
That was, until he met one Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

Summary
Dazai, apparently, even with the help of meds, couldn't sleep.
He'd been lying in bed with closed eyes for the past two hours, mind conjuring up scenarios and memories and thoughts that he'd rather not have, leaving him tossing and turning until he decided to give up, resorting to staring at the wall blankly until his mind quit. God, why wouldn't this end??
or: i project heavily onto (read: torture) Dazai for the 8-millionth time

Summary
He had always found it funny, almost, how people often described waking up from a nightmare. They'd describe gasping awake, or screaming, or crying, or something else of the sort, but Dazai had never done any of those things. No, Dazai simply woke up whenever his mind decided he'd had enough, or his body decided it couldn't take the stress anymore, or when he was forcefully woken up by his alarm clock, or even his roommate, on the particularly bad nights, and he'd continue on with his day.

Summary
It was going to be a bad day.
Fyodor knew it from the moment they woke up. Maybe it was the sound of the rain hitting the windows outside, or the dull ache along their spine, or maybe it was from the slight stinging sensation behind their eyes.
No matter the cause, she knew today was going to be a bad day.
