Summary
Seongje would’ve been able to enjoy this snowfall if it wasn’t for that persistent ache in his chest. A gnawing, unmovable ache that hadn’t budged since the day he left the Union.
No, it surely wasn’t because of that! Maybe his cholesterol was too high, was a heart attack possible at seventeen?
———
Leaving the Union was supposed to be a clean break. Instead, he found himself outside of his former boss’ apartment, throwing snowballs at his open window.

Summary
''...do you think its better to speak or to die, Seongje?''
Seongje stared at Baekjin with a half open mouth, his brain working faster than it should to decipher Baekjin's ominous question.
''pft, what are you on about, idiot?''
———
Seongje attempts to confront Baekjin face to face, only to find that his office has been stripped bare without any signs of his whereabouts.

Summary
“Why do you record everything when we are alone?” Baekjin mindlessly asked as he grabbed a t-shirt to put on.
“You never know when I'll die.” With those words, Baekjin's moment seemed to halt, his fingers stopping where he was fixing his shirt. “You won't die before me.”
“Bastard, I said you never know.”

Summary
He doesn’t know why he comes back. He never does.
The lights are half-off; nobody pays for the electricity anymore, or any utility in this place. He wanders around the whole place, poking at things he finds interesting, not quite looking for something. Yet, he still hopes he sees whatever he’s not looking for.
Eventually, he’ll find himself sitting on the ruined leather of the couch in the small office tucked away in the corner of the bowling alley, one arm slung over the armrest and dangling limply, two cigarettes stubbed out poorly in the little glass ashtray he used to be so fond of and one more dying out in his mouth.
It’s not like he doesn’t have anywhere to go. It’s not like he doesn’t have anyone to go to. It’s definitely not because he misses his work, or rather...
