When Will’s brushing his teeth that night he stares unblinkingly at his reflection and tells himself he doesn’t want to dream of Mike. He won’t let himself. He needs to let Mike go.
As he strips his covers back he reminds himself he does not want to dream of Mike.
As he shuts off his light he tells himself, determined, do not dream of Mike.
The next thing he knows he’s floating, weightless in space with Mike by his side.
Or
Dream share. After a fallout with Mike, Will starts having lucid dreams with him in them. He thinks they’re just dreams.

Holy peak, definitely swooped its way onto the top in less than two chapters and has not disappointed at ALL. Not to mention all the work the authors put into it is just awesome, like I'm sure its not easy to write, plot AND not to mention coordinate everything as a team, which just says a lot about how dedicated one must be to make such a piece, genuinely awesome Im giggling and I NEED MIKES POV UGHH JUST SOBBING FOR WILL RN SNIFFLE, GOD WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR THEM TO COMMUNICATE, but tbh its necessary, their relationship was gonna reach its climax at some point for sure, and all the past incidents occurred due to lack of it.
Its interesting to see how even now where they are closer than ever to actually reaching a real relationship that old habits and dynamics die hard if you dont step out of it and grab onto a little courage to actually, honestly say what you feel despite the fear of rejection. You really can't go back either way, too late now for them, in order to move on you have to acknowledge it first for real and maybe not leave the past behind but to actively learn from it and use it as an example for the future. I ADORE HOW FEELINGS CENTERED THIS IS, ITS SO BUZZY AND AUGHHH. -

Summary

A complete season 5 re-write/fix-it following TSTYK with a primarily byler focus set October 1989. While there are a few scenes/concepts from s5 that will appear, this is not just s5 rewritten to include byler.
