It’s an innocuous enough text to send to your best friend, or to the girl you’ve been sleeping with for the past four months. So, why does Adora feel her pulse quicken through her fingertips as she sends it? Fortunately, a response comes before she has time to consider that.
Catra: Again, Adora? I’m working.
Adora: Please.
Catra takes a few minutes to reply, and Adora starts to think maybe she is too busy today to give Adora what she needs, or that maybe she’s decided that domming Adora is too much work, and-
Finally, she sees the (...) that indicates Catra is typing. She waits. A beat, and then:
Catra: Please, what?
Adora: Please, mistress.
This time, Catra’s response is instant.
Catra: Door’s open.

Adora has a bad day at work and needs Catra to remind her just who she belongs to.

Wherever the rest of Entrapta’s sentence is going to go, it falls away. The whole room falls away as understanding hits Catra like a bolt of lightning, an electrifying shock to her system that leaves her reeling. Getting married? Her and Adora? Questions well up on her tongue — What? Why? — and she doesn’t realize she has fumbled through those fragmented inquiries until Frosta answers her.

Over the years Catra adjusts to the hijinks of sharing a world with magical princesses, and the curiosities of being with, and technically engaged to, She-Ra herself. And it’s cliche, she knows, but she’s never felt so remarkably whole in her entire life.
And then it happens, unfairly out of the blue and startlingly sudden. With Princess Prom swarming Brightmoon with too many people, Catra sneaks away to somewhere still and quiet as contraction pains begin - which would be alarming at the best of times, if it weren’t for the fact she didn’t even know she was pregnant. Or that she even could be.
(This has been a mind worm of mine since I finished the show. I told myself I wasn't actually going to write it, and then I did. Basically the show 'I didn't know I was pregnant' but for Catradora. Please excuse the biology its magic land, things are flexible.)

Catra was showing now, it was wonderful. Adora wasn’t going to admit it, Catra was still touchy about the word and Adora didn’t want to risk being banished to sleep in Melog’s bed, but her wife’s baby bump was singularly the cutest thing in the world.
She still couldn’t quite wrap her mind around the fact there was a baby in there. Content to be safe and snug, surrounded in warm water and growing every day as though it wasn’t some other-worldly, miraculous thing. (Neither of them had grown up around pregnancies, Adora might have been being a doof about it.)
