Summary
There is only one chair at the bar, but no one is behind the counter. At the far end of the room is a revolving door, dark wood like everything else, but translucent glass. As much as she wants to gaze at the room longer, she needs to leave, she needs to get home. This is wrong and she needs it to end. She dashes for the exit. The door is stuck. She pushes in both directions, but it won’t budge even an inch.
“Why don’t you sit down for a drink?”
She is startled by the appearance of a bartender, a blonde woman with her hair tied back. She’s in neat black pants and a crisp white shirt, tucked in, thin black suspenders over her shoulders. Her red eyes seem to pierce Maya, indicating that the correct action is to take a seat in the open chair at the bar.

Summary
Bright red eyes suddenly stare at her, a limp un-lit cigarette hanging from the corner of the woman’s mouth, lips slightly separated. Their eyes lock with one another, neither of them moving. Maya can feel the strain of her weight on her arms, stones digging into her palms and her left knee, but she dares not to move in case it further alarms the woman in front of her. She wants to focus on the situation at hand, being a professional and all, but she also can’t help the cacophonous thudding of her heart in her ears as she stares at this woman so real, so present in front of her.
She can hear the tinny sound of a voice coming through the phone calling out, as if all other noise have been muted from around them.
Finally, “Maman, I’ll call you back. There seems to be a wild animal in the backyard.”

There was Wednesday, standing over Enid in the dark, the moonlight catching on the slope of her jaw and the sharpness of her right cheekbone. Enid forced herself to ignore how striking she looked, how much the moonlight suited her, so that she could choose rightful annoyance over awe. She propped herself up on her elbow, her hair tickling her face as it fell to one side.
“Why am I awake if it’s still dark outside? We graduate in the morning, and I’m trying to get my beauty sleep in before I have to walk.”
Wednesday eyed her carefully.
“Surely, you don’t think you need any more of that,” she remarked.
“Flattery will get you nowhere,” Enid said, despite the fact that the compliment, roundabout as it was, was definitely dulling her exasperation. Truly, they both knew flattery always worked on Enid.
“We need to go to West Virginia,” Wednesday said.

Wednesday and Enid embark on a week long post-grad roadtrip to bring a message from Uncle Fester to Mothman and might just be forced to talk about their feelings along the way

Violet eyes, so different and strangely so close to the obsidian pupils of Antigone.
"Antigone by Jean Anouilh. It is an interesting play. How did you like my interpretation?"
"Maya."
"Hello Claudine."It has been three years since Claudine returned to France after finishing Seisho. Three years far from Japan and her friends, in the race of Paris and the Théâtre de la Flamme. In the current stage, Claudine plays Antigone and the young princess disturbs her, without her being able to understand why. Until the day when Maya appears before her without any warning, quoting Antigone as if she and the Theban princess were one.
